Miami Valley Music Fest

Miami Valley Music Fest is August 1st and 2nd in Troy, Ohio.  Ahead of the festival, a group of performers from the festival bill visited the WYSO studios for an evening of live music to preview the weekend's event.

Scott Lee returns to the WYSO studios after a few years and a few miles of travel.  After a brief stint of performing and songwriting in New York City, Lee found his way back to the Miami Valley.  Lee performs live in the WYSO studios and chat with WYSO Music Director Niki Dakota about finding his way to Woody Guthrie's music and plans for an upcoming album. 

Scott Lee will perform this weekend during the Miami Valley Music Fest, Friday and Saturday (Aug 10th and 11th) at the Troy Eagles Campground.

Preparations are well under way for this year's Miami Valley Music Fest, a two day celebration of local music with proceeds going to local charities.  Brad Centers is one of the organizers of Miami Valley Music Fest and a musician himself.  He spoke with Kaleidoscope Juliet Fromholt about the origins of the festival and what's next this year.
