Live on Kaleidoscope: Kris N

The cover art for Kris N's Heartscarf
Cherry Fullam

Much like this previous release, Lo-fi Movement, Kris N's new album was recorded at home.  Prior to recording the songs that would become Heartscarf, he recorded two other albums worth of material but decided that the current songs were the right ones to release.

Kris N returned to the WYSO studios to perform tracks from Heartscarf live and spoke with Kaleidoscope host Juliet Fromholt about recording in the moment and the idea of the heart scarf, which was conceptualized with visual artist Cherry Fullam.  Heartscarf will be released on June 24th via Poptek Records.

Book Nook: The World As It Is - Dispatches on the Myth of Human Progress, by Chris Hedges

His first book, "War is a Force that Gives Us Meaning" is one of the most powerful anti-war manifestoes of the last decade. Hedges appeared in the Book Nook when that book was published and he returned for another visit when it was reissued in paperback.
