Book Nook: Satori, by Don Winslow

In 1979 a mysterious author called Trevanian published a spy novel called "Shibumi." Trevanian was the pen name for an author who wrote numerous best-sellers including "Shibumi' and "The Eiger Sanction." The author died in 2005.

Pink's Acoustic Pulse Brings String-Based Floyd Sounds to Canal Street Tavern

Pink's Acoustic Pulse is not your average Pink Floyd tribute band.  The group performs the music of Pink Floyd with all acoustic instruments and a full vocal compliment.  Kaleidoscope host Juliet Fromholt spoke with bandleader Jon Stankorb about their unique interpretation of classic Pink Floyd songs.

Pink's Acoustic Pulse will perform at Canal Street Tavern on March 18th.

Live on Kaleidoscope: Sam at Eleven

The members of Sam at Eleven have been playing together for many years, originally under the name HQAX.  After that band dissolved, roughly a year went by and the members decided to reunite and begin making music together again.  Sam at Eleven visited the WYSO studios to perform live and chatted with Kaleidoscope host Juliet Fromholt about the evolution of their sound and putting together their new album, The Year We Won.

Sam at Eleven will celebrate their CD release on March 19th at Blind Bob's in downtown Dayton.
