Local music pioneer Don Thrasher came by the WYSO studios to talk to Niki Dakota on Excursions. Don talks about the Dayton Music Fest as well as his label Gas Daddy Go, and is about to release the debut album for the band Me Time. Singer, songwriter, guitarist, and teacher Cosy Sheridan called into the WYSO studios to chat with Niki Dakota. Tune in as Cosy talks about her newest album, her move to the northeast, as well as some recent hard times that she has been going through. You’ll also get to hear three songs off of her newest album Pretty Bird.

Performing as a solo artist as well as with her band, Sassy Molasses, Moriah Haven Lawson finds inspiration in everything from the bluegrass she was raised with to Tori Amos. She visited the WYSO studios for a live set on Kaleidoscope, performing songs from the forthcoming Five Stages project.
Moriah Haven Lawson performs regularly at The Listing Loon in Cincinnati, 7-10pm on final Fridays.
As SideShow 9 draws near, local musicians are gathering at Canal Public House this weekend for a benefit show to help defray the cost of the two-day arts and music show. SideShow 9 co-organizers Jennifer Clark and Todd the Fox visited the WYSOs studios with special guest DipSpit to talk about the upcoming benefit and share some live music.
The SideShow 9 benefit show is Saturday, April 26th at Canal Public House.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of Dayton Music Fest. Organizers of the multi venue downtown Dayton festival have lots of big plans for this year's event and are beginning to build the excite with a kickoff show featuring the Buffalo Killers performing with a full church choir at Christ Episcopal Church. Festival co-organizer Kyle Melton visited the WYSO studios to talk about the show and the anniversary as well as some of the upcoming events happening at Canal Public House where he also serves as booker.
