WYSO Weekend: May 01, 2016

WYSO Weekend

In this edition of WYSO Weekend: We’ll talk with University of Dayton Provost Paul Benson about his new appointment, and you’ll hear about the historic Dayton Woman’s Club. And later in the program, Juliet Fromholt talks to the band Curse of Cassandra – you’ll hear about their next album release and some of the music they featured Wednesday night on Kaleidoscope. More details below.

  • Women’s Voices from Dayton Correctional Institution.
  • Mollie Hauser is the hospitality manager and historian for the Dayton Women’s Club. The hundred year-old building has a rich history and today on WW, Mollie’s going to tell us a little bit about that, and how the house is functioning today.
  • On Kaleidoscope Wednesday nights on WYSO, host Juliet Fromholt features live local music and talks to the bands making that music.  This week she talked to the band Curse of Cassandra about their upcoming album.  Here’s just part of that conversation.
  • Paul Benson was recently appointed as Provost at the University of Dayton and we were pleased to talk to him by phone last week to talk about his role at UD and what’s on the horizon for them.
