What's Great in Dayton: September 22 - 28, 2017

Downtown's newest fine art gallery's grand opening is tonight from 3 to 5 pm. This is the Edward A. Dixon Gallery, at 12 S. Ludlow Street. In addition, a unique exhibition, What Is Art (to you?), will be on display.

Oktoberfest at the DAI boasts more than 50 artisans from throughout the region, unique foods, ample domestic, international and craft beers, international wines, kid-friendly art activities, live music on two stages throughout the weekend, and much more! Saturday & Sunday.

Enjoy an apple feast and so much more at Aullwood Apple Fest! Spend the day at Aullwood Farm on Saturday and Sunday,10am - 5pm and enjoy all the sights, sounds and delicious aromas of Apple Fest. Sample apple pie baked in a Dutch oven, freshly pressed cider, apple dumplings, apple butter, and so much more.

Learning Tree Farm's annual Autumn Fest is on Saturday. It will kick off at 10am with activities ranging from wooded trail hikes to pony rides and pumpkin chucking. There are farm animals: including goats, cows, pigs, chickens, donkeys, and miniature ponies; food trucks; live music; crafts & children's games and more!

The 2nd Annual ART HOUSE THEATER DAY is set nationwide for Sunday and The Neon has two special screenings. First is the family friendly animation REVOLTING RHYMES. This one can be enjoyed by the whole family...and tickets will be just $5. And a new restoration of the gorgeous classic film A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH (aka STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN) - starring David Niven and Kim Hunter.

Party With The Parties is Tuesday 6:30pm at Top of the Market, 32 Webster Street. Cheer on your favorite elected officials as they compete in friendly parlor games, sing songs, or other antics. An evening of good fun to raise money for The League Of Women's Voters 2017 Voters Guide. Dinner and cash bar available.
