Visitors of all ages will learn fun aerospace principles during Family Day at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. This is from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday and you are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes. Those who participate in activities will receive goody bags with candy and aviation trading cards (while supplies last).
Dia de los Muertos is a special day celebrated throughout Latin America on which people remember loved ones who have died. In downtown Dayton on Sunday is a free and family-friendly event. The parade leaves a little after 2:30 and heads from Jefferson Street through the Oregon District and ending at Missing Peace Art Space. On Sunday at 2:00pm in the IAMS Room in the Carillon Park, Mr. Wilberding will share the story of Lewis Gunckel who was a key player in creating the Soldiers Home for Union Veterans here in Dayton. President Lincoln signed the legislation approving three locations and Dayton was one of these! Light refreshments will follow.
Tryouts for the entertainment staff for the Dayton Dragons will be held next Saturday at Fifth Third Field. There are three positions you can try out for: Green Team member, Host, and Mascots.
