What's Great in Dayton: October 21 - 27, 2016

Experience Aullwood Farm lit up as a glowing wonderland of fun with thought-provoking and participatory art installations plus glowy and fiery entertainment. Roast marshmallows and make s'mores over a crackling fire. Bring your family and friends to enjoy this tonight and Saturday from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

The first ever Human 2.0 Wellness Festival comes to Dayton on Saturday, 10am - 6pm at the Heartfulness Center, on  Lantz Road, in Beavercreek. Engaging indoor workshops by physicians and authors on holistic health; exhilarating outdoor movement teachers of Yoga, Pilates, & more; relaxing Guided Meditation Sessions; fun kids activities; and live musical performances. Great for the whole family and there is no cost.

Come escape the contentious political season and enjoy some music making with Musica. Politics and music have been intertwined throughout human history and Musica will explore four such moments. This is Saturday, 7:00pm; and Sunday, 3:00pm at St. George's Episcopal Church, in Kettering.

The third annual Out of the Darkness Community Walk is Sunday at Oakwood High School. Registration is 1 p.m. with walk starting at 2 p.m. This walk supports the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. There is no cost to walk.

The 2nd annual Blessing of the Animals will be held on Sunday, at RiverScape Pavilion, from 3:00-4:00 PM. Clergy from four local downtown churches will bless all animals brought to this event. Music will be provided from the Westminster youth group , and complimentary pet treats will be available!

The Bach Society of Dayton presents Russian Echoes. They are providing a journey across Russian culture with music and the  Russian Duo, move all with humor, pulsating dance music, rhythmic folk songs, gypsy melodies, and lyrical romances. Sunday 7:30pm, Kettering Adventist Church, in Kettering.
