What's Great in Dayton: June 24 - 30, 2016

Congratulations! You've written your book, and you've decided you would like to publish it yourself. At the Rosewood Center tomorrow, Saturday, they are providing a class all about author-publishing. They will also discuss various sales and promotional strategies that can help your book find its audience.

All Aboard! The 11th Annual Carillon Park Rail Festival is on Saturday and Sunday. This family friendly event showcases the popular rides on the Carillon Park Rail & Steam Society's scale trains and so much more! Many vendors will be offering unique railroad merchandise so that you can find the perfect gift for railroad fans of all ages.

The serene setting at SunWatch transforms with the beat of drums and the sounds and rhythm of American Indian music. This is a special time to reflect upon a rich heritage and come into the Pow Wow circle with honor and respect for one another and the drum. This features both men's and women's dances wearing full regalia. Traditional American Indian arts, crafts and food will be available. Saturday and Sunday.

A Pollinator Celebration at the Aullwood Farm is on Sunday from noon - 5:00 pm. This celebration is part of the Ohio Pollinator Week 2016. Learn about pollinators-birds, bees, butterflies and more during a fun-filled day with hands-on learning opportunities, great food, crafts, demonstrations, programs and walking tours of Aullwood Farm.

And finally, an amazing show is now at The Human Race. It’s called Master Class. This Tony Award-winning drama presents a revealing look at a commanding diva, the sacrifice for art, and it has you thinking about yourself. It is wrapping up this weekend.
