What's Great in Dayton: June 16 - 22, 2017

Play Ball! On Saturday, 9am - 3pm at the U.S. Air Force museum you will have the chance to learn about the science behind baseball and other sports with interactive programs. Learn how a baseball curves, how a skater spins so fast, how to find the "sweet spot" on a baseball bat or tennis racket, and see the Magnus Effect in action as you "throw" a curve ball.

The DeWeese Ridgecrest Civic Association's Annual Art in the Garden Affaire is Saturday, 10 AM to 5PM, at 2919 Ensley Avenue, in Dayton.

Learn to row and find out more about Dayton Regional Rowing. This is to promote fitness, well-being, culture and education while promoting the Olympic values of excellence, friendship and respect.  The day will focus on introducing ages 7 and up to rowing and give you an opportunity to meet an Olympian. On-site time-slot registration is mandatory. Saturday, 10:00am - 3:00pm and there is no cost.

Join hundreds of people as you run along the beautiful Wolf Creek Bike Trail. See the first Dayton Little League All Star Baseball Game featuring the two current winningest teams. Eat the "Best In the West" Rib and Southern Comfort food taste competition. Hear live music from local groups. Enjoy outdoor experience fun provided by Five Rivers Metro Park. The Kids Area is featuring The Party Bus. This is Saturday, at McIntosh Park.

WYSO Listener Appreciation Dance Party has Radio Basim curating the tunes and creating the perfect dance party atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.
