Tonight head to downtown Dayton where locally owned businesses are celebrating their own “independents” day for the First Friday events, 5 to 10 pm. Check out local retailers, enjoy the food specials at independent restaurants, and take in a few performing arts – time is running out to see Disney’s The Lion King at the Schuster Center…that show rolls out of Dayton on Sunday.

Lights in Flight Fireworks Festival is he region's most spectacular fireworks display returns to downtown Dayton! There is food, entertainment and family fun. The Festival begins at 1 p.m.; fireworks at 10. This is Sunday at RiverScape MetroPark.

And also on Sunday from 1 – 10pm The SICSA Pet Adoption Center is partnering with Ned Pepper's and The Hole in the Wall in the Oregon District. The Big American Block Paw-ty will ensure fun for all ages, including: live entertainment from local artists, DJ's, games, a dunk tank, and food trucks vendors. This event is family and pet friendly. A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to SICSA Pet Adoption Center.

Camps Rock is an online directory of summer camps, where you can search to find awesome summer camp options for kids. With over 600 camps currently listed, and more being added each day, Camps Rock is the most comprehensive directory of Summer Camps to exist in Dayton. The online directory allows parents to search by age, interest, or distance to quickly find and compare program options.

And finally Rosewood Gallery is looking for entries for the 10th annual HWD… Height, Width, and Depth. This is a juried exhibition celebrating three-dimensional artwork by artists from Ohio and surrounding states. Established in 2007, this is the region's only gallery exhibition focused exclusively on sculpture. Deadline is Friday, July 8.
