The Geek Gala is all about bringing together the awesome things that some might call nerdy. From video games on the TVs, to local comedians making you chuckle and groan, this is going to be a night to come out and have fun for a really great cause, Extra Life Dayton. This is a local chapter of the gaming charity that partners with area children's hospitals. This is Saturday, starting at 7pm at Blind Bob's.

The years following World War II and preceding the moon landing in 1969 are generally considered the Mid Century Modern Landmarks. More than 500 of these designs were constructed between 1940 to 1970 in the greater Dayton area. You will learn of these buildings, their history, and many of the style elements common to Modernism on Sunday at 2pm at the Wright Public Library, in Oakwood.

The Best Worst Thing That Ever Could Have Happened is a film that draws back the curtain on the extraordinary drama of the show's creation - and tells the stories of the hopeful young performers whose lives were transformed with it. The Executive Editor & Publisher of EVERYTHING SONDHEIM will be there for a talk-back after the screening which is Sunday at 7:15pm at The Neon
