Eagles: Birds of Beauty and Grace is part of the Art of Nature Winter Speaker Series and it will be Sunday, Jan 12, at 2:30 p.m. at The Aullwood. The animal show manager at the Cincinnati Zoo will talk about his extensive knowledge and experience in working with bald eagles.

Nancy Brown Diggs will discuss the challenge of immigration to the United States heartland on Sunday, January 12, at 2:00 PM at the Dayton International Peace Museum. Dr. Diggs will be available for signing of her book, "Hidden in the Heartland: The New Wave of Immigrants and the Challenge to America."

Film Needing Extras: The period drama “Carol,” will shoot in Cincinnati for 7 weeks with an anticipated shoot beginning in March. It is expected to provide hundreds of jobs for crew, extras and some actors with speaking parts.

A University of Dayton professor Larry Schweikart will introduce A Patriot’s History of the Modern World: From the Cold War to the Age of Entitlement. He will be at Books & Co. at The Greene on Wednesday, January 15 at 7 pm.
