What's Great in Dayton: February 24 - March 2, 2017

Imagine: People all around you choosing vocal parts for a popular lyric. A music director stands up and guides the gathering in song. Voices merge, time slides... "Beer Break!" rings out, and the camaraderie continues, all the way to the next round of songs. This is called Sing Dayton and newcomers, shower singers, and choral ninjas are all welcome! It’s tonight from 6 to 8pm at the Yellow Cab Tavern.

The Dayton History Fight Night is Saturday. Fighters will be going three rounds in the same venue where Muhammad Ali, Jack Dempsey, and many other boxing legends  went toe-to-toe. After the fighting has ended, Fight Night's Speakeasy After-Party will just be getting started in Memorial Hall's lower level.

The Montgomery Soil & Water Conservation District is holding their Tree & Plant Sale now until March 13. Quantities are limited, so place your order early.

Savor Your Sunday is when Coco's Bistro has teamed up with Stivers musicians to create a unique event that's food for the spirit - and stomach! This Sunday will be the Stivers Concert Pianists and this is their final event and brunch.

Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me!!! This will be at the Schuster Center in September --and YOU could be there. Donate now - any amount - and your name will be in a drawing for a pair of front row tickets, plus a dining at Citilites PLUS a post-show reception where you'll meet the "Wait Wait" cast. The entry period ends on March 6th.

You can see your new downtown Dayton Main Library with exciting performances, fabulous food, expertly crafted drinks, silent auction items and unparalleled fun! Be greeted with a red-carpet welcome and make your way to the top-floor panoramic view. From the beginning of the evening to the last dance, this will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience! It’s in April and tickets are on sale NOW!
