Writers, readers and book lovers of all sorts are invited to the fourth annual Dayton Metro Library Local Authors Event on Saturday 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Sinclair’s Ponitz Center. The Local Authors Event combines with the Dayton Book Expo to offer a day-long celebration of books. More than 100 authors will be present.

The National Afro-American Museum & Cultural Center in Wilberforce has an exhibit called Conscience of the Human Spirit: The Life of Nelson Mandela. This thought-provoking exhibit showcases 59 quilts made by American artists that reflect the life this remarkable man and illustrate how he changed a nation and literally served as the conscience of the human spirit for individuals around the world.
