Police: Ohio steroid probe uncovers Tennessee lab

LEBANON, Ohio (AP) - Police in southwest Ohio say they plan to announce details today of an investigation into steroid abuse at a local YMCA that led to a secret lab in Tennessee and 32 indictments.

The Warren County Drug Task Force and county prosecutor's office say investigators confiscated $600,000 in illegal drugs and a cache of weapons.

Task force Commander John Burke says suspects from six counties have been indicted in the investigation, which began with complaints at the Countryside YMCA in Lebanon (LEB'-uh-nen). He tells The Cincinnati Enquirer no employees of the YMCA were involved in the steroid abuse.

Indictments include charges of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, drug trafficking and drug possession.
