Gov. Kasich appoints final JobsOhio board member

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Ohio Gov. John Kasich has appointed an Appalachia-area executive to the board of the newly created JobsOhio corporation that will oversee job creation and economic development in the state.

Kasich on Thursday named Lawrence Kidd to the board, completing his picks to the nine-member panel. The governor named the other members in July, including Ohio State President E. Gordon Gee and Procter & Gamble CEO Bob McDonald.

Kidd is CEO of Reliable Staffing Services and RSS Professional LLC in Jackson. The 47-year-old is a co-founder of 10 in 10, a program dedicated to creating 10,000 southeastern Ohio jobs in 10 years. He has also served as the chair of the Jackson County Economic Development Board.

JobsOhio board members are not paid. Kidd was picked for a four-year term.
