Dear Mr. President: People Are Looking For Jobs

Dear Mr. President asks what you want to say about your community.

Dear President Trump,

My name De’Andre Stringer. I’m a young man that is concerned about my city and my state. Knowing the idea that you are trying to make America great again, which is a very hard task and an idea that could be taken as a catchphrase with no action behind it.

But it’s not a catchphrase to me.

With making America great again you will be helping out cities with businesses and jobs. As you are getting ready to take office, I want to address some facts, concerns and suggestions to you in my region of Ohio.

The Dayton region is a respected area, being credited for the birthplace of flight, funk-music, and the second largest tooling and machining community. Once upon of time the Dayton area founded many companies like Dayco, Delphi or Delco, and Reynolds and Reynolds, which provided jobs for Caucasians and minorities, which leads me to my concerns about the Dayton region.

The unemployment rate is at 4.9 percent. People are looking for jobs that will provide the proper benefits and health care, and jobs that will actually pay what the worker deserves, whether male or female.

A lack of jobs results in criminal activity and petty crimes because just like America, it builds and feeds on money. So we hustle, grind, scratch and claw our way to feed the hungry child that can’t make it on minimum wage.

A suggestion is to raise up the minimum wage. No average person can live off of the existing minimum wage. Rising the minimum will start up companies, which will give equality on hiring rates from Caucasian to minorities, and paying all genders the same amount of money they all deserve.

Make America Great Again is a great statement with action behind it. Without action, it's nothing but a catchphrase.

So, one question: are you about that action President Trump?

Sincerely,

A Concerned Citizen
