Kettering Rotary is hosting the annual Run for Your Life, 5k Run/Walk on Friday at 6:15p.m. This is at the Community Golf Course and proceeds benefit Girls on the Run and Kettering Rotary.

This weekend , the play Lost in Yonkers is at the Dayton Theatre Guild . This tells the tale of two young boys left by their widowed father in a strange world called Yonkers. It’s a funny, touching and unforgettable drama.

Friday and Saturday from 6 - 8:30 p.m is Aullwood’s Enchanted Forest. You can roast marshmallows, meet the black rat snake and box turtles, friendly trail guides will escort visitors along the luminary-lit trail and you will meet costumed forest creatures.

Saturday is Franz Liszt’s 200th birthday and on Saturday and Sunday the Miami Valley Symphony Orchestra will be doing lots of favorites from the Romantic era…including a famous Liszt tune.

If you like old time Rock & Roll dancing, then Friday evening, Corky’s Band is playing your favorite 50’s, 60’s & 70’s tunes. It’s at the American Czechoslovakian Club, on Valley St.

You can interact with the Wright brothers or Paul Laurence Dunbar on Friday from 6:00 - 8:00 . Go to the Wright-Dunbar Interpretive Center It’s at the corner of Williams and Third in Dayton.

Gearfest is the Midwest Outdoor Experience. All kind of things including camping, competitions, regional music acts, exciting demos, and Friday and Saturday, a night beer garden. It’s at the Eastwood Metro Park.

A new, interactive exhibit is at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery and it is all about the Miami Valley’s extraordinary water resources. It’s called "SPLASH."

Oktoberfest is this weekend at The Dayton Art Institute.…lots of artisans, unique foods, ample beers, live music on two stages.
