WYSO Temporarily Off the Air Saturday

WYSO will be off the air for a few hours on Saturday, November 5.  Beginning in the late morning -if the weather and wind conditions are good - a crew will climb up our tower and continue to upgrade our broadcast equipment.
You'll be able to hear WYSO programs while we're off the air right here on our website and via the Public Radio Player on the iPhone and the NPR News app on Android.

WYSO Off The Air on Saturday

Lightning damage to the WYSO antenna and the fiberglass casing that covers it. The antenna bay is 405 above the ground, attached to the WYSO tower on Clifton Road, South of Yellow Springs.

UPDATE: Due to weather conditions, we're now installing a new antenna on our tower on Saturday to replace the one that was struck by lightning in July.  So we'll be off the air for a number of hours, roughly between 10am and 4pm.

Thank for your patience.
