Live on Excursions: Aaron Calafato

While trying to pay off his own student loans, Aaron Calafato found himself working at a for-profit university.  Based on his experiences in the for-profit education industry, Calafato wrote and performs in For Profit, a one man show that combines storytelling, comedy and theatre.

Calafato will perform For Profit this weekend at the Occupy Dayton Community Space on East Third Street in Dayton.

Live on Kaleidoscope: Encore Theatre Company's Spring Awakening

Encore Theatre Company's production of Spring Awakening opens January 20th and runs through February 4th.  The production is directed by JJ Parkey, who played Hedwig in last year's production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch.  In this preview, Parkey talks about the production, the story and the unique theater space for Spring Awakening.

Live on Kaleidoscope: Al Holbrook Talks about Nativity: The Pop Opera

Al Holbrook is a master of many musical styles.  Now he's trying his hand at musical theater in his second year performing in Nativity: the Pop Opera.  In this interview Holbrook speaks with Kaleidoscope host Juliet Fromholt about his experiences in the production and his plans for the new year. 

There will be two local performances of Nativity on Saturday, December 17th at Beavercreek Church of the Nazarene.
