In this week's edition of PoliticsOhio, Emily McCord speaks to Bill Cohen with the Ohio Public Radio Statehouse News Bureau. Cohen has been following both the referendum effort on Senate Bill 5 and the proposed constitutional amendment Tea Party groups are pushing to exempt Ohioans from the federal mandate in President Obama's health care law. Cohen gives the latest developments with a look to the future and compares the two efforts.
The Senate has approved Ohio Governor John Kasich's plan to hand over job creation functions to a non-profit corporation after lawmakers changed the measure to address some concerns about ethics and public access. The House passed a different version of the bill and would have to agree to the changes before it goes to Kasich's desk for a signature.
