The first of the SOCHE Talks, a collaboration with the Southwest Ohio Council for Higher Education. This monthly series features faculty and staff from area colleges and universities speaking on a variety of topics. It's an effort to bring Miami Valley research and thinking into the public arena. This week features Dr. James Malarkey, chair of Humanities and General Education at Antioch University Midwest.

Take an already successful college internship program, multiply its funding by 4, and throw in the research taking place at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, and what do you get?

"When you think about it we're bringing in $14 million in new revenue to our region through this program," says Sean Creighton, executive director of the Southwestern Ohio Council for Education.
