On Monday, Montgomery County Republican Party Chairman Rob Scott announced he would resign. The 31 year old Scott cited irreconcilable differences with the party over strategy.
"There are a lot of establishment still alive and well in the county party, here in Montgomery County, and they disagreed with the direction I was taking it – to be hyper-grassroots," says Scott.
Scott says his aim was "to bring in new faces into the county party – to bring in African Americans, to bring in Latinos, to bring in youth, to bring in more women. Their direction is more money."
