A call center to start this month in central Ohio will help low-income veterans and active military personnel and their families find free legal assistance.

The joint project of the Ohio/Military Veterans Legal Assistance Project and Capital University Law School will pair up those who are eligible with volunteer lawyers to represent them free of charge in noncriminal cases such as divorces and landlord-tenant disputes. Legal experts say the center is part of a growing effort across the United States to meet the legal needs of those who have served their country.

Governor Kasich will give his State of the State speech Tuesday night in Lima. Kasich has said there won't be much new in his speech, but it will be his chance to defend his newly proposed budget and set the gears in motion for reelection.
