Nativity The Pop Opera returns to the Miami Valley this holiday season. This year's production features new choreography and will star legendary gospel singer Sherman Andrus. Kaleidoscope host Juliet Fromholt spoke with Andrus about his musical legacy and with Nativity's co-creator J. Todd Anderson about this year's production.
Nativity the Pop Opera will be performed December 12-14 at the Beavercreek Church of the Nazarene and on December 15 at The Gathering in Centerville.
GE Aviation and the University of Dayton are holding a grand opening ceremony Friday for a $53 million research facility called the Electrical Power Integrated Systems Center, or Episcenter. The high-tech 138,000 square foot facility at UD's campus represents a new chapter for product development at GE and an economic boost for the Dayton region.

About 20,000 people are expected to descend on Ohio’s newest racino Thursday. The new gaming facility in Turtlecreek Township is expected to be a boon to the local economy.
Warren County Economic Development Director, Martin Russell, says Miami Valley Gaming’s new $175 million dollar racino means big revenue for the county.
“I think that when you talk about jobs, you talk about capital investment, you talk about bringing in more people inside of Warren County...this is going to really broaden our economic base," said Russell.
