The Smug Brothers Return With New Single, Upcoming Releases

After adding a new bass player and then taking a summer-long hiatus, The Smug Brothers are returning to the stage and preparing to release new material.  Kaleidoscope host Juliet Fromholt sat down with Kyle Melton and Don Thrasher at Ghostlight Coffee to talk about the Smug Brothers' new single, music video and upcoming shows.

The Smug Brothers will perform at Jimmie's Ladder 11 on Friday, November 15th.

Lost on Iddings Live on Kaleidoscope

Lost on Iddings with Kaleidoscope host Juliet Fromholt

Lost on Iddings make a return visit to the WYSO studios with a reformed lineup and renewed energy.  The seven-piece band recently completed an album called the Buckeye Sessions, recorded with Buckeye Music Magazine and is now looking forward to more live performances including a gig opening for New Riders of the Purple Sage. 

Lost on Iddings performs live at the Oregon Express on Friday, November 8th with Hazy and the Rugged Child.

The Repeating Arms Release Blackberry Winter

The Repeating Arms have spent the past few months preparing their first full length album, Blackberry Winter.  With addition of Brian Spirk on mandolin, the four piece band has been perfecting their sound in the studio and onstage.  The Repeating Arms made a return visit to the WYSO studios for a live performance and a preview of several album tracks.  They spoke with Kaleidoscope host Juliet Fromholt about the recording process, the album release show and what's next for the band.

Tim Gebard and the Hitmen Play to Benefit Red Cross

After performing solo for a while, Tim Gebard began to find collaborators through open mic events such as the Rock n Roll Playdate.  Now Gebard and his band, including his song Aaron, are preparing for their next big show, a benefit for the American Red Cross at Clifton Opera House.  Tim Gebard and the Hitmen visited the WYSO studios for a live set on Kaleidoscope and spoke with host Juliet Fromholt about performing together and using music for the greater good.
