Pett Crow is a young band that's been making regional waves in the past few years. Wes Crow, Julia Crow and Brandon Pettiford have already traveled to the International Blues Challenge in Memphis and have had a busy summer of festivals and club gigs including opening stints for Royal Southern Brotherhood and Delbert McClinton. Pett Crow visited the WYSO studios for a live performance and spoke with Kaleidoscope host Juliet Fromholt about recording, the artists that inspire them and future musical plans.
In the years since changing their name to Oh Condor, the band has released an EP via Gas Daddy Go records and is figuring out how best to release a collection of newer and older songs. Three members of the band visited the WYSO studios to perform acoustic versions of their songs ahead of a performance at Blind Bob's.

Members of the New Old-Fashioned visited Kaleidoscope shortly before their debut show. Nearly two and a half years later the band is going strong and beginning to craft new material for a sophomore album. The New Old-Fashioned visited the WYSO studios ahead of a busy August of live gigs including a stint at the Greene County Fair and a performance at Canal Street Tavern with Shrug and Sandwich.
Taking their name from an early misadventure that brought the bandmates together, Box truck Rescue have spent their early months as a band taking on lots of live performances in a variety of settings. They've got a busy summer ahead and plans to head into the studio later this year. The band visited the WYSO Studios for a live performance on Kaleidoscope and spoke with host Juliet Fromholt about what lies ahead.

Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Susan Werner stopped by the studio on Monday following a show with the Springfield Arts Council just the previous night.
