Home sales numbers are out for September, and the greater Dayton area shows an increase of 21 percent compared to September of 2012. The dollar volume in the first nine months of the year, $1.3 billion, also increased 21 percent compared to the first nine months of 2012.

Nancy Farkas of the Dayton Area Board of Realtors says she sees the most growth in places like Kettering, Centerville and Beavercreek. But overall, she says the outlook is positive across the board.

The number of homes sold in Ohio in August has hit a new high, and, home sales are maintaining a steady, upward trend in the Dayton area as well.

 From July to August in the Dayton market, there was virtually no change in the number of properties sold. But compared to the same time last year, sales volume was up by 19%.

Home sales in Ohio moved up for the 25th straight month and that’s seen by some as a positive indicator for the state’s economy.  

In July more than 13,ooo homes sold; a 25.8 percent increase over sales reported a year ago at that time, and July’s highest sales figures since 2005.

An Ohio trade group's report shows statewide home sales rose nearly 12 percent in March compared to a year ago.

Ohio Association of Realtors President Thomas Williams says in a statement that the state's housing market is making steady progress in its effort to establish a solid foundation.

A report focusing on single-family home and condo sales indicates Dayton Home prices grew rapidly in the last four months.  According to Clear Capital’s quarterly Home Data Index, local home prices rose by 6.3 percent.  Only Phoenix Arizona saw a higher climb in home prices.

Dayton-area home sales are going up.  Figures released from the Dayton Area Board of Realtors show a 4 percent increase in home sales in January; that’s compared to January 2011.

Ohio home sales jumped about 10 percent in June compared to May, even as the nation's housing market continued its worst showing since the housing bust.

The Ohio Association of Realtors said Wednesday that just over 10,000 new and existing single-family homes and condos were sold in the state last month.

President Meg Hudson says the association is optimistic that the Ohio market is poised to stabilize following a tumultuous past few years.

June's average home sale price in Ohio was over 142 thousand dollars which is a 7.5 percent increase over the May average.
