Businessman, Rick Wegmann named new executive director of Miami Valley Works

Miami Valley Works, has named a new executive director.  Businessman, Rick Wegmann will lead the agency, which is an initiative of Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley (GESMV), and other groups, like the Dayton Foundation, the Dayton Business Committee, and the Greater Dayton Commission on Minority Inclusion

According to a press release from GESMV, Wegmann is the co-founder of information technology provider, Digital Concepts Inc.

This Saturday, Ghostlight Coffee will host Artistic Expression, it's a benefit show for Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley's Miracle Clubhouse.  Dawn Cooksey is a singer-songwriter who also works for Goodwill Easter Seals.  She visited the WYSO studios to talk about Artistic Expression and the mission of Miracle Clubhouse.

Artistic Expressions is Saturday, December 7th at Ghostlight Coffee.

Plans are moving ahead on a new 100,000 square foot Community Services Campus for Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley. Construction will begin in late August for the new campus on 7 acres off South Main Street in Dayton.  Steve Goubeaux with Good Will says the campus will dramatically increase the agency’s ability to serve more people with disabilities.

The Dayton Daily News reports officials are soliciting architectural bids for the building and surroundings.
