Romney Plans Ohio Stop Despite Storm

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is going ahead with a planned stop in Kettering, but the campaign says the focus will be on helping victims of Superstorm Sandy.

The event at Fairmont High School in Kettering is scheduled to start at 11 a.m.

A Romney spokeswoman said the event will be "a disaster relief event where Gov. Romney may make brief remarks." Another Romney event in Lima today has been canceled.

On Saturday November 12th, Kettering Fairmont High will host the 4th annual A Cappella Festival.  These events are springing up around the country but Fairmont believes they are blazing the trail.  Brody McDonald is the Choir Director at Fairmont - a job he's held for 13 years. The job has its challenges.

Ohio Teacher Suspended over Alleged Name-Calling

KETTERING, Ohio - An Ohio school board is considering the future a teacher accused of calling students names.

The human resources director for the Kettering schools said suspended Fairmont High School English teacher, Michael Togliatti, also repeatedly used profanity and ridiculed the district superintendent in class.

The Dayton Daily News reports the school board voted Tuesday night for Togliatti to be suspended without pay, pending termination.
