Daniel Dye and the Miller Road Band

Daniel Dye and the Miller Road Band

This week Daniel Dye and the Miller Road Band, a group from Mutual, Ohio, stopped by for a live performance and a chat with Niki Dakota. They’re the founders of the annual Madden Road Music Festival, which takes place Saturday, August 13, at the old Madden Farm in Mutual.

The Miller Road Band is a family affair. Lead singer Daniel Dye, who plays guitar and banjo, is joined by his nieces and nephews: Emily on violin and viola, Carrie on violin, and Thomas on cello. Today they were joined by Dye’s sister, Sarah, who plays a major role in organizing the festival.

Kevin Milner, Daniel Dye, and Tim Pritchard stopped by the WYSO studios today to share a couple big laughs and great songs. Niki Dakota hosted as they all told stories and played from the heart.

These three musicians, along with six other of Dayton's best singer/songwriters, will be performing at Canal Street Tavern on Sunday night at 8pm  for the Singer/Songwriter Celebration.

Daniel Dye and the Miller Road Band return to the WYSO studios ahead of their appearance at the WYSO Community Concert.  This family band performs live on the air and chats with Juliet Fromholt (filling in for Niki Dakota) about growing together as a band, plans for upcoming travel and a new album in the works.

Daniel Dye and the Miller Road Band will perform at the WYSO Community Concert on August 19th at Riverscape MetroPark along with Holy Ghost Tent Revival and Todd the Fox.
