Wilmington Elects Riley as Mayor

Wilmington voters, in unofficial results, have selected Republican Randy Riley to serve as mayor.  Riley defeated Democrat, David Raizk by a count of 51% to to 48%.

Wilmington voters also selected Mark McKay, Bryan Siebenaller and Robert Mead to serve on City Council.

Clinton County voters gave a nod to Mike McCarty and Jamie Rudy to serve on the Clinton Massie School Board.

Wilmington Readies For Glenn Beck Visit

When Glenn Beck tells the story of Wilmington, it's a town like Bedford Falls, from the holiday movie classic, "It's A Wonderful Life". He's in Wilmington today to showcase, what he calls, a town that gets it', one built on self reliance in the face of economic devastation.

"And this town hasn't taken any money from the government. They don't want any money from the government. They don't want any money. And I ask them why? They say God will provide. If we have faith, he will provide. We don't need it from the government," says Beck on his show.

DHL Transfers Wilmington Air Park Back To Community

City, county and state officials gathered in Wilmington yesterday to complete the transfer of Wilmington Airpark from the international shipping company DHL to the Clinton County Port Authority . As WYSO's Emily McCord reports, the transfer of the asset couldn't come at a better time, as the county has the worst unemployment rate in Ohio.
