The Zoot Theatre Company presents The Pearl, Friday and Saturday in the Mathile Theatre of the Schuster. The Pearl tells the story of Kino, a poor pearl diver who gets his hands on the “pearl of the world” and through his journey, discovers the greed and evil that comes with such a prize.

And talking about music, on Saturday at the Stivers High School, they will be having one of America's finest jazz trumpeters, Derrick Gardner. This is a fundraiser so the Stivers High School Jazz Orchestra can go to New York City for national competition.
Tonight is the Grand Illumination in downtown Dayton on Courthouse Square featuring live music entertainment, carnival rides, games, holiday crafts, horse-drawn wagon rides and a gingerbread house display.
