Every Wednesday night Juliet Fromholt talks to musicians, filmmakers, and artists from the Miami Valley and beyond and more often than not, you're treated to a set of music performed live in the WYSO studios.  You'll also hear some of the best music from emerging artists and old favorites from around the world.

The New Old-Fashioned Release Ladies On Vinyl

After releasing their full-length album, the New Old-Fashioned had some additional songs ready for release.  So the band returned to Nashville to work some tracks for a vinyl release.  The result is Ladies, a 7 inch record, being released on Yellow Springs' Toxic Beauty Records.  David Payne from the New Old-Fashioned visited the WYSO studio for an acoustic set on Kaleidoscope and talked to host Juliet Fromholt about the record and the band's upcoming shows.

Dinosaurus Live on Kaleidoscope

James Daniel, Charles Heck, Micah Kemplin and Jesse Mayes have been playing together as Dinosaurus for over a year with one EP, Wrecks, already under their belt.  The band visited the WYSO studios for a live set on Kaleidoscope and talked about writing, recording, and the elements of their instrumental sound.

Dinosaurus will perform Saturday, March 1st at Blind Bob's in downtown Dayton along with The Nighbeast, Oreo Jones and Yip Deceiver.

Smug Brothers Celebrate Release of On The Way To The Punchline

This weekend the Smug Brother will celebrated the release of their new full length album, On the Way to the Punchline, with a show at South Park Tavern.  The band visited the WYSO studios for a live set on Kaleidoscope and talked about the album, the new lineup and more.

The Smug Brothers perform at South Park Tavern on Saturday, February 22 along with The 1984 Draft, Human Cannonball, and Turkish Delights.

A Celebration of Art and Music at the Yellow Cab's Dayton Is For Lovers

On Friday, February 14th, the Yellow Cab in downtown Dayton will host Dayton Is For Lovers, a Valentine's Day dance.  The event features music from Lost on Iddings, Jah Soul and DJ Jay Madewell as well as an art show, a special Valentine's themed photobooth from Jennifer Clark and more.  Clark and members of Lost on Iddings and Jah Soul visited the WYSO studios for an acoustic performance and talked about Dayton Is For Lovers and the upcoming Side Show at the Yellow Cab.
