This weekend Oh Condor will perform as part of Blind Bob's 3rd anniversary celebration.  On this edition of Kaleidoscope, the band performs new songs live in the WYSO studios and speaks with Juliet Fromholt about the decision to change their name from 8 Bit Revival and plans for upcoming releases and tours.

This weekend Blind Bobs will celebrate 3 years of business with a weekend full of music, festivities and food.  Here Kaleidoscope host Juliet Fromholt chats with the Mendenhall family about the starting the business and growing it over the past three years and how music has been an important part of that.

Noah Benefiel, Zack Eldridge, Shawn Imel, Seth Campbell and Seth Reigelsperger began playing music together as a hobby, but about a year ago they began performing publicly with an inaugural gig at Canal Street Tavern. After playing shows around Dayton, Market Street Dream was convinced to take part in the 29th Annual Dayton Band Playoffs by Canal Street Tavern owner Mick Montgomery. They will move on to Round 3 of the Playoffs, performing next on August 22nd at Canal Street Tavern.

Kevin Moss, Chris Karnes, DJ Miller, Pat Riley all share a love for "weird, loud music." Moss, Karnes and Riley formed the band when they were attended Wright State University along with Christopher Olvis (former co-host of Evening Excursions on WYSO). Miller joined the band later to replace Olvis on guitar and Northwest Ordinance also began to gravitate from 60s style garage rock to more of a 70s punk sound.

The band has recorded 3 albums and an EP with Columbus Discount Records. Their latest album, Walk Through the Fire, is available digitally through their bandcamp page.

New Vega makes their second visit to the WYSO studios to perform an acoustic set and share tracks from their upcoming album, Tempo.  The band will celebrate the album's release on July 30th at Canal Street Tavern with The Future Laureates and Grenades!?
