Every Wednesday night Juliet Fromholt talks to musicians, filmmakers, and artists from the Miami Valley and beyond and more often than not, you're treated to a set of music performed live in the WYSO studios.  You'll also hear some of the best music from emerging artists and old favorites from around the world.

The Loveless Live on Kaleidoscope

Embracing a rockabilly sound with punk rock flair, the Loveless are an adventurous band quickly making a name for themselves in Dayton and beyond.  Bret Cottongim, Tommy Kirkendell and Justin Barbarino visited the WYSO studios to share songs from their new EP and talk about upcoming shows.

The Loveless will perform at Blind Bob's on March 29th with Oxymoronatron and Doogie.

Two Big Shows Coming to Gilly's

This weekend, Gilly's in downtown Dayton will play host to two big local shows.  On Friday, it's the return of Cap'n Johnny's Whizbang show, a new variety show featuring music, magic, comedy and much more.  In the first part of this week's Kaleidoscope, Whizbang co-organizer and Freakshow Deluxe President Rev. Tommy Gunn and magician Kaleb Kane join host Juliet Fromholt in the studio to talk about the show, and Todd the Fox shares some music.

Midnight Ghost Train Releases Buffalo, Continues to Roam the Roads

Steve Moss started Midnight Ghost Train in memory of a late friend and has revamped and recycled the lineup a few times while staying on the road pretty steadily.  Moss spoke with Kaleidoscope host Juliet Fromholt about life on the road, music as therapy and Midnight Ghost Train's new album, Buffalo (Karate Body Records).

Midnight Ghost Train will perform on Friday, February 22nd at South Park Tavern.

Meg Cavanaugh live on Kaliedoscope

Meg Cavanaugh returns to Kaleidoscope after a year away to catch up with Juliet Fromholt, talk about her new music and, of course, play live in the studio. Cavanaugh has been collaborating in London, England with artist Peter Mader. That new experience has changed the way she produces music while retaining her same sound. Cavanaugh looks forward to releasing new music and playing her latest music live, especially here in the United States.

Brooklyn's Birds in Weather Pays a Visit to Peach's Grill

On Friday, January 18th, Peach's Grill in Yellow Springs will welcome Brooklyn band Birds in Weather to the stage.  They'll be joined by Columbus band the Easy Pieces and locals Bromaha.  Members of the three bands made music together many years ago and they look forward to sharing a stage again this weekend.
