Dirty/Clean Live on Kaleidoscope

Josh Egeland and Jay Madewell are Dirty/Clean, a duo that combines synth, vocal and live drums for an exploration into disco, prog rock and more.  The duo visited the WYSO studios for live set on Kaleidoscope and talked to host Juliet Fromholt about crafting their sound, their debut album Welt Am Draht and upcoming gigs.

Dirty/Clean will perform with Curse of Cassandra at the planetarium at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery on July 11th.

Black Ocean Parking Lots have Yellow Springs roots and the Austin band visited the village ahead of Street Fair to perform live on Kaleidoscope.

Black Ocean Parking Lots will perform as part of Blue Moon Soup's Summer Soiree on June 14th at The Quonset Hut in Yellow Springs.

Gem City Ramble Offers Festival Preview, A Chance to Give Back

The countdown to Miami Valley Music Fest has begun, but festival organizers are giving fans a chance to preview some of this year's lineup at an event called Gem City Ramble held at the Yellow Cab in downtown Dayton.  Kaleidoscope host Juliet Fromholt spoke with Brad Denson, Rich Reuter and Eric Henry about the Gem City Ramble, upcoming plans for Miami Valley Music Fest, and an opportunity to give back through a partnership with Buckeye Music Magazine.

The Gem City Ramble is Saturday, May 31st at the Yellow Cab in downtown Dayton.

The Pinkerton Raid's Jesse DeConto on Songs, Stories and the Combination Thereof

The Pinkerton Raid is preparing to release a new full length album later this summer, and in between writing and recording the album, songwriter Jesse DeConto also wrote and released This Littler Light, a memoir about his life, his faith, and of course music. DeConto spoke with Kaleidoscope host Juliet Fromholt about combining stories from the book with song for an intimate tour, the audience's reaction and the band's forthcoming album.

The Pinkerton Raid will be at Red Tree Gallery near Cincinnati on June 3rd.
