- A Brookings Institution study finds many people in metro areas are living further away from jobs. As WYSO’s Lewis Wallace reports, Dayton is among the worst in the country for this growing geographic gap.
- Kate Geiselman teaches English at Sinclair Community College, she’s part of a diversity taskforce that’s been active on campus for a number of years. The diversity on campus has faced some challenges recently and Geiselman says there are a number of events planned to ensure the acceptance of LGBT students.
- On Miami Valley StoryCorps we bring you conversations between local people who went to the StoryCorps booth in Dayton last spring. Today we hear Herman Castro, the owner of El Meson, a well known local restaurant, talk about its founding with his son Bill Castro.

- If you’ve ever flown into Reagan National Airport in Washington DC, your plane followed the course of the Potomac River and past two places with special significance to aviation history in the nation’s capital. Aviation commentator Paul Glenshaw takes us there – Paul Glenshaw writes about aviation and space. - The Springfield City School District's Board of Education voted unanimously Thursday night to hire Dr. Robert Hill from Lorain County's Firelands School District, to replace retiring Superintendent Dr. David Estrop. Estrop announced late last year that he's retiring in June because of legislative changes to the state’s retirement program. He's been in charge of the district for six years and has spent nearly 45 years in education. WYSO's Wayne Baker spoke with Dr. Hill after he accepted a four-year contract that will pay him $152,000 per year. Baker also spoke to Dr. Hill’s wife Rachel, a Springfield native herself.
