WYSO Weekend: January 12, 2014

In this edition of WYSO Weekend:

  •  The former GM plant in Moraine is getting a major new tenant. As WYSO’s Lewis Wallace reports, Chinese auto-glass manufacturer Fuyao (fwee-YOW) will bring up to 800 new jobs to southwest Ohio.
  • The Clark County agency that helps disabled people find work and live independently is facing $4 million in budget cuts after two consecutive levy defeats. The Clark County Board of Developmental Disabilities has come up with a three-year strategic plan in order to maintain services to the disabled in the area. Two programs will be immediately affected. WYSO’s Wayne Baker spoke with Board Superintendent Jennifer Rousculp about what’s ahead for them in 2014.

  • WYSO News Director with this week's Politics Ohio.

  • For those living in remote areas, seeing the stars is no big deal. But for the many of us who live in cities, spotting the big dipper can be tough. City LIGHTS are to blame, everything from streetlights to stadium lights to garage lights. And it turns out these lights mess up a whole lot more than just our view of the galaxy. Anne Glausser from member station WCPN reports.
