The 16th Blues & Boogie Piano Summit is tonight and Saturday, at the Southgate House Revival in Newport, Ky. It features four outstanding boogie woogie players including Ricky Nye who occasionally comes right here to WYSO. The show starts at 9:00pm and doors open at 8:00pm. It was written by Woody Allen, and is the story of a young playwright who, in desperate need of financial backing for his next show, accepts an offer he can’t refuse from a mobster. I saw this and it is superb!!!!
