What's Great in Dayton: November 13 - 19, 2015

The 45th annual Dayton Book Fair is tonight, Saturday and Sunday in the Coliseum Building at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. Lots of books and bargains galore….check it out at daytonbookfair.com

Many of the greatest wood artists in the country are here for the 34th annual Artistry In Wood Show which is on Saturday and Sunday. You will have a chance to see the greatest compilation of wood art ever.

Seeking Truth In The Balkans is a prize-winning documentary that explores the legacy of this landmark experiment in international law and asks if truth, peace, justice or reconciliation were attained. This film is presented by the Dayton International Peace Museum in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Dayton Peace Accords. It is Sunday at 3:00 PM in The Neon.

The Dayton Philharmonic Youth Strings will present their annual Fall Concert on Sunday at 3:00 at the Kettering Seventh-Day Adventist Church. This is free and open to the public. A reception will immediately follow the concert there.

Next week on Tuesday through Friday in downtown Dayton is The 86th Annual Waffle Shop. It is at Christ Episcopal Church. Delicious made-from-scratch waffles with sausages are on the menu, which also has soups, sandwiches, salads, and desserts. They also have a Craft Bazaar, Bake Sale, Elsie's Attic and a raffle.
