DCDC2, is doing About Being, which presents new work with the idea of the story circle where people come together and share stories. The dance artists tell their stories through memories, voices, and perspectives to reflect identity and revisit the question of self-definition and its relation to the world. A national festival of women's films is at Dayton on Sunday, 3-5 pm at THE NEON. Nine selected films will compel discussion, make you laugh, tug at your heartstrings and motivate you to make a difference in your community. The films are united by a common thread of exceptional storytelling - by, for and about women. Two additional short films will be by a local filmmaking collaborative that worked with incarcerated women at the Dayton Correctional Institute to help them make their own short films.
