What's Great in Dayton: July 24 - 30, 2015

Gaelic Storm returns to the Dayton Celtic Festival this weekend.

The Celtic Fest is tonight, Saturday and Sunday in downtown Dayton at RiverScape. You can experience the sights, sounds, and tastes of the Celtic heritage.  Discover the magic that keeps people returning to Dayton's Celtic Festival year after year. There are 4 stages so things are going on all the time…..and it is free!

Innocent or guilty….you decide! The murder trial reenactment features the 1895 murder trial, Ohio vs. Mary Knight. Dayton History staff and volunteers will set the stage for this interactive courtroom drama in which you can participate in the show and interact with the historical characters. It is at the Old Court House tonight, Saturday and Sunday.

On Sunday there is a Nature Meditation Walk. Enjoy an introduction to meditation by grabbing a journal and taking a peacefully silent hike, wrap it all up with a group reflection. Sponsored by Yellow Springs Dharma Center & the Techumseh Land Trust. This is 4:00 in the afternoon.

And also on Sunday is The Fries Band. This is at Smith Gardens in Oakwood at 7:00pm. Bring a blanket or chairs and kick back with a picnic and some refreshing beverages and listen to the smooth harmonies of the band. You won't be disappointed by the beauty and the sounds. And it’s free. On your Facebook go to The Fries Band
