What's Great in Dayton: January 31 - February 6, 2014

We are wrapping up January and lots of things are going on.

The 100-member University of Michigan Men’s Glee Club will present a concert of classical and contemporary choral works at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, in downtown Dayton, on Saturday, at 7:00 p.m.

The Savor Your Sunday is a series of musical brunches benefiting Stivers School for the Arts. Each Sunday in February a different group of Stivers artists will entertain you as you dine at the fabulous Coco's Bistro.

The Erma Bombeck Writing Competition is at Washington-Centerville Public Library and the contest runs online now until February 17. Write like Erma and win $500 and a free registration to the Erma Bombeck Writers Workshop.

The Black Box Improv Theater has created classes specifically for High School and Junior High Students.  These classes are taught by the same performers that teach their adult classes and will be geared specifically for the student. Improv classes at The Black Box are interactive and experience based learning. Classes start Saturday February 8th.

Are you interested in helping your children learn about nature and science and feel comfortable exploring the outdoors? The staff at Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park will present a series of programs called Nature Quest.

And finally, this Sunday is the Super Bowl and if you have a higher priority go to the Schuster to see Sister Act. I saw it this week and it is a great show.

Gotta Go….
