What's Great in Dayton: January 30 - February 5, 2015

Zak Morgan will perform at Troy Hayner Cultural Center on Saturday

An evening-length contemporary dance theater takes a sneak peek into the lives of various lovers, whose relationships collide and intersect throughout the span of one evening in a quaint but moody nightclub. Emotions are stirred. Hearts break. Hearts mend. This is Saturday, 7:30pm at the Victoria Theatre.

The Family Concert returns to the Troy Hayner Cultural Center on Saturday, at 7:30 pm. The guest musician will be Zak Morgan and his band. Zak will bring his unique sense of humor and love for wordplay with many notable favorites such as, "The Case of the Dry Markers", "White Sharks Chum" and "Snow Day".

A huge canvas based upon Degas' Blue Dancers is now at Coco's Bistro. Each Sunday in February a different group of Stivers School for the Arts will entertain you as you enjoy Coco’s February-only brunch menu. Reservations from 10am to 1:30 pm. and this Sunday you will hear The Stivers Strings.

The Lincoln Society of Dayton is having their Annual Meeting and Lincoln Birthday celebration on Sunday, at 2:00 in the IAMS room of Carillon Park. The Dayton Dragons National Anthem Tryouts are the end of February and pre-registration is now underway. The first 300 entrants who pre-register for this event will receive a scheduled tryout time. On your Facebook find Dayton Dragons.

Charlie Campbell wants to spread the news of so many wonderful aspects in the greater Dayton area. He is a cheerleader and a real believer that our area is the place to be. He has been active in this area for almost 40 years and you can hear him weekly at WYSO.
