Well it’s cold right now and lot’s of things are going on.

The Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra will travel to the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, on Sunday at 5 pm. The concert will combine the DPO with the host church choir and soloists for an uplifting experience. The concerts are free and open to the public.

Works on Paper features a variety of sculptures, mixed media, photography, drawing, printmaking, and so much more. Focused on the artists of the Dayton region, this exhibition highlights the exceptional talent of artists working with or about paper. This is at the Rosewood Arts Center and the opening reception is Sunday, 2:00pm to 4:00pm.

The Subject Was Roses is an American classic play about a dysfunctional family focusing on the return of a son from WWII. His parents appear to be happy, but slowly the facade pulls away to reveal emotional wounds and problems yet to be resolved. It is closing this weekend at Dayton Theatre Guild.

The Art of Nature Photography is Sunday, 2:30 p.m. at Aullwood Audubon Center and Farm. The artist is Tom Hissong who has used photography as his artistic outlet. He will present some of his best photographic images and will explain the techniques and emotions that went into making them.

Yearning to Breathe Free: Burmese Refugees in the Midwest is the subject of a discussion at the Dayton International Peace Museum on Sunday, at 2:00 PM.  U.D. professor Dr. Heather MacLachlan will describe their challenges and accomplishments and the long process of resettlement in the United States.

Charlie, It’s Great In Dayton, Campbell

Charlie Campbell wants to spread the news of so many wonderful aspects in the greater Dayton area. He is a cheerleader and a real believer that our area is the place to be. He has been active in this area for almost 40 years and you can hear him weekly at WYSO.
