What's Great in Dayton: December 19 - 25, 2014

Santa visits the 2nd Street Market tomorrow, Saturday, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Bring a camera and snap a photo of Santa with your friends and family. It won't be too late to tell Santa what is on your wish list, including Market goodies. Santa will have a treat for everyone who stops by.

The Annual Family Holiday Film Series is now on at THE NEON. They are on Saturday at Noon and admission is FREE for kids 12 & under and only $2 for general admission. The Bishop's Wife will play Saturday.

Aullwood Candle Dipping is this weekend. Dip candles in beeswax to create beautiful hand-crafted treasures. This is on Saturdays and Sundays and starts at 2:30pm. On your Facebook find Aullwood Audubon Center and Farm

A Live Nativity & Christmas Shop is Sunday, 6 - 8pm, in Oakwood at the corner of Dixon Ave and Far Hills! Hot chocolate and sausages, fire pits, music and a simple stable with a young family, townspeople and animals. A Christmas Shop will be open during this evening with special one-of-a-kind gifts and confections!

Also on Sunday at 6:30 pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra and the Dayton Philharmonic Chamber Choir will present the glorious Handel's Messiah. Four soloists will join the Dayton Philharmonic Chorus on stage to lend their masterful voices to this beautiful holiday tradition.
