What's Great in Dayton: August 29 - September 4, 2014

Tonight from 5-8pm., at the Garden Station, which is at 509 East 4th St in downtown Dayton, activists, visionaries, and volunteers in the greater Dayton area are coming together. The Dayton Dragons will host a Human Services Fair on the plaza outside Fifth Third Field from 2:30 to 4:30p.m. on Sunday. The event will help raise awareness about Montgomery County's Human Services agencies and provide more information about the specific services delivered by the agencies and related non-profits.

Urban Nights Needs Volunteers. This event will be Friday, September 12 and is the free downtown event of Arts, Dining, Music, Housing, Shopping and more. Join the Crew.

Have you heard and seen the new video Where The Rivers Meet? It uses Dayton's rivers as both a lyrical and visual symbol for the many and varied people and cultures who are brought together. It was shot in a multitude of new locations, highlighting many surprising and charming spaces. Accomplished photographer Andy Snow also joined the team as director of photography.

Charlie Campbell wants to spread the news of so many wonderful aspects in the greater Dayton area. He is a cheerleader and a real believer that our area is the place to be. He has been active in this area for almost 40 years and you can hear him weekly at WYSO.
