What's Great in Dayton: April 24 - 30, 2015

What does it truly mean to be a patriot? This evocative and heart-warming play puts the soldier experience front and center by bringing to life on stage actual letters written home during the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. This underlines the belief that the person standing beside you is more important than you are. This play is tonight at The Victoria Theatre.

On Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., MONCO Enterprises is hosting a free opportunity to shred personal documents and papers. They are in West Carrolton at 700 Liberty Lane.

FootGolf is a combination of Soccer and Golf! The goal is to get your soccer ball in the cup with the least amount of kicks. It's played very similar to golf, but with a soccer ball instead of clubs. The holes are shortened, and the cups are 21 inches in diameter! Come Kick Some Grass!

Give Back to Nature. Join the reforestation efforts and help them give our tree seedlings some TLC! Five Rivers MetroParks and volunteers have grown more than 60,000 seedlings during the past four years throughout MetroParks.  They will be checking the seedlings and ensuring trees have limited competition to grow big and strong. Your help is needed. Sign up today.
